TiVo finally beefs up their DVR with 150 hours of HD recording

After years of DVRs with less than aqueduct hard drive space (first for analog video and most recently for HD). Well I am excited to let you know that as of today TiVo is walking the walk. The TiVo HD XL box offers more recording capacity than any other DVR available, be it satellite or cable—150 hours of HD recording capacity. Dual internal tuners allow you to record two different shows in HD at the same time, while watching a third pre-recorded show.

Like the prior Series3 (which has been replaced by the HD XL), the HD XL is THX Certified for accurate sound and video playback in your home theater. It also includes the same Series3 premium backlit remote control and an included HDMI cable. Finally, all other standard TiVo services are also available in the HD XL.

The TiVo HD XL box is available online today for $599.99 at www.tivo.com. Other retailers that will unveil TiVo HD XL as early as next week. Finally, some decent recording recording capacity begins today.
